Square
Edge Creative Centre has been the focus of artistic talent
in Palmerston North for 25 years. It is conveniently located
in the centre of Palmerston North opposite the beautiful water
feature on the edge of the square.
The
building was previously Palmerston North City council chambers
and it has retained much of its art deco style, with polished
wooden floors and ornate ceilings.
Square
Edge is home to a number of artist studios, shops, an art
gallery and performance/rehearsal spaces.
The
Gallery exhibits the work of emerging local artists and craftspeople
and it is located in the midst of retail shops and galleries
on the Ground Floor.
Exhibitions
change frequently and work is often for sale at very reasonable
prices.
